What you get

What's in a complete system

"Complete" means complete — the whole heat-and-cool setup for one zone, ready to install. No hunting for compatible parts across three websites.

Indoor wall unit

The quiet wall-mounted air handler that lives in your room and delivers the heating and cooling you actually feel.

Outdoor condenser

The outdoor half of the system. It sits on a pad or bracket outside and does the heavy lifting, summer and winter.

Remote control

Temperature, mode, fan speed, and timers — all set from the couch, no thermostat wiring involved.

Line set & install kit

The refrigerant line set and installation components that connect the indoor and outdoor units.

Exact kit contents can vary by system and size. Call or come by the shop and we'll open the box with you, so you know exactly what you're taking home — and what, if anything, you'll want to pick up before install day.

Why buy local

A local dealer, not a box off the internet

You can order a mini-split online and hope for the best. Buy it from the Kings instead, and here's what comes with it.

  • Sized right before you buy — real people who ask about your room, ceilings, and insulation, so you're not guessing at BTUs from a chart online
  • Help if you get stuck mid-install — hit a confusing step? Call the shop and a real local person talks you through it, not a call center reading a script
  • Service and parts down the road — the shop that sold you the system is the same local shop that can service it for years to come
  • See it before you buy it — walk into the shop at 2431 W Washington Ave and look at the actual equipment, not a product photo

We stock trusted mini-split brands — call or come by to see what's in stock right now.

Straight talk

Is DIY right for you?

Most handy homeowners can do this — but we'd rather tell you exactly what's involved than oversell it. A typical single-zone install looks like this:

  • Mount the bracket — level and screw the mounting plate to the wall where the indoor unit will hang
  • Open the wall — drill roughly a 3-inch opening for the line set and drain to pass through
  • Hang the indoor unit — feed the lines through the opening and click the unit onto its bracket
  • Set and connect the outdoor unit — place the condenser outside and connect the line set following the instructions
  • Electrical hookup — the outdoor unit needs a proper electrical connection; plenty of DIYers hire an electrician for just this one step

If that list sounds like a satisfying weekend project, you're a great DIY candidate. If it sounds like a headache, no shame in it — our crew installs mini-splits across Northeast Arkansas every week. Learn about professional installation.

Before you buy

DIY questions, answered

What size mini-split do I need?
It depends on more than square footage — ceiling height, insulation, windows, and how much sun the room gets all matter. Undersize it and it struggles on the hottest days; oversize it and you paid for capacity you don't need. Don't guess: call (870) 378-6004, tell us about the space, and we'll help you size it before you spend a dollar.
What tools do I need to install one?
For most installs, common homeowner tools cover the bulk of the job — think drill, hole saw, level, and wrenches — but the exact list depends on the system you choose and where it's going. When you buy from us, ask: we'll go through your specific install and tell you exactly what you'll need before you leave the shop.
What if I get stuck mid-install?
Call us at (870) 378-6004. That's the whole point of buying from a local dealer — a real person who knows the equipment can talk you through the step you're stuck on. And if you decide partway through that you'd rather hand it off, our install team can pick it up from there.
